How I Would Vote

Voters deserve to know how their representative would approach the decisions Congress is making today. Below are my positions on significant recent House votes and the reasoning behind them.

I evaluate legislation based on the complete text presented for a vote - not merely the title of the bill. That includes amendments, spending levels, enforcement provisions, and unrelated measures attached to the final package. When I am still reviewing legislation, I will say so rather than pretend every complicated bill has a simple answer.
